Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited (KSCCL) is currently implementing ‘Phase-I’ Smart City works and targeting to completing them in time.

‘Integrated ICT Solutions for Smart City Kakinada’ is a part of Phase-I works and this advanced Command Control Center with latest State-of-the-art Technologies is likely to be inaugurated by AP CM Nara Chandra Babu Naidu in June 2018.
What is ICT solutions Command Control Center?
Command Control Center (CCC) main goal is to strengthen communication between corporation officials and the citizens of Kakinada through advanced technologies. This CCC is equipped with the modern technologies. It features a centralized service of the whole city under one roof.
The important functionalities of the Command Control Center (CCC) include
- City-wide CCTV surveillance
- Free Wifi Spots Management across the city
- Automatic number plate recognition
- Automatic traffic signaling
- Weather forecast
- Face detection
- Disaster management
- Digital Display and Signage Boards
- Round-the-clock call center for Citizens
- A mobile app to address the public grievances
- Automatic Smart lighting
- Broadband Connectivity Etc,.
Officials said that Efforts are being made to complete works & trail run by June 2018 to get inaugurated by AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu who is expected to visit kakinada for janmabhomi event.
Recently Chief Executive Officer of KSCCL J. Sujay Arun has told the media that- “Communication Centre, Data Centre, Disaster Recovery Centre, Network Operation Centre, Optical Fibre cable (120KM City backbone Network) LoRa Network, Internet WiFi Network, CC TV surveillance system, smart street lighting system, smart poles, automatic vehicles, location system, automatic number plate recognition, red light violation detectors, facial recognition system, environment sensors with public display units, citizens help desk, IP based public address system, emergency call box and variable messaging display and smart parking and others are the important components of the Smart City works.
He also added “Many of the cities in the country were doing the fiber cable work on the lease, but in Kakinada, the fiber cable is being laid on its own.
