Satyagowri Theater, Built in 1970’s is one of the few early theaters in Andhra Pradesh to adopt DTS Surround Audio Technology, is being revamped and getting ready for a comeback in a whole new avatar very soon.

For many of us ‘Satyagowri’ is the synonym for it’s exceptional DTS Surround Audio system that took a whole new level of movie viewing experience in those olden days. But sadly it lost its charm with the increased competition & new technology-enabled theaters which took the lead.
The Come-Back
With the INOX coming up in the city, seems like every theater is either revamping into a multiplex or renovating with modern theater technology to catch up the trend & the competition in future. With that in mind, Satyagowri theatre also started its renovation from bottom-up.
Recently, the theater is completely closed and started the renovation works. The refurbishment is a complete refresh of the theater with food court, from the flooring, seating, Air Conditioning System, Etc to the walls and decor. Here are the details of the renovation.

The Setting
1. Dolby Surround 7.1 Digital DTS ES:
Currently, Speakers stand at the regular spacing on the walls and the roof (ceilings). Even today, This set-up is what sets Satyagowry apart from the rest of the theatres in the city. Now, the theater is revamping its audio system with Dolby Surround 7.1 increases the impact of surround sound by adding two audio channels of sound to increase the realism of all types of movies and it improves the spatial dimension of movie audio.
2. Premium push-back luxury seats
Premium push-back luxury seating capacity of 690+ Seats including Upper Class, Ist, 2nd and 3rd Class.
3. Spacious lobby with Food courts
Adding a food court to the theater is going to serve the people during their leisure time as well as the intermission.
4. Fully Air Conditioned
Yes! Finally, satyagowry is going to have a Fully Air Conditioned theater. A sigh of relief for the movie-goers. Nowadays a theater without AC cannot sustain in the modern world theaters competition. Moreover the summer season in coming months and its unbearable to sit for few hours & watch the movie. So kudos to the Management for finally going with Air Conditioning the theater.
Other Screens in Plans
We had a chat with the management, they are planning to REOPEN THE THEATER BY APRIL – JUNE’ 2018., they also revealed that 2nd Screen might get ready in coming 6-7 months & considering the possibility of 3rd Screen in coming future.
