SRMT Management is focusing on installing rooftop solar PV systems at available roof areas to meet the energy requirement of its upcoming SRMT Mall and Hence saving some serious bucks by adopting the renewable energy & save electricity as well.
How this system Works & What is it?
A solar rooftop system is a combination of a set of solar PV panels, Electrical systems, Solar Inverter etc. Panels are mounted on the building rooftop, connected together to generate electricity by converting solar radiation into electrical energy. The electrical energy generated from the panels is transmitted to an inverter, which converts DC output of solar modules into utility grid electricity.
For off-grid systems, a battery bank stores power that can not be utilized directly by the load, this will be used when requirement of the load is more than what the solar PV is providing at a particular time or when power from solar energy is not available, thus reducing the consumption of power from grid and increase savings on your electricity bill.
Solar rooftop Plant on SRMT Mall
Vision Solar has recently started a 110 kWp rooftop solar plant at SRMT Shopping Mall, Kakinada, making it only 2nd Commercial mall after MGB Mall Nellore in Andhra Pradesh to house the renewable energy system.
This is the only 2nd Shopping Mall in Andhra Pradesh to house the solar rooftop, Kudos to the Management of SRMT for adopting the renewable energy.
Mammoth Power Saving
The plant is expected to generate 1,70,000 kWh, rough conversion value of 110 kWp of energy annually and this can lead to the reduction of carbon dioxide to the extent of 163 tonnes a year.
